'Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was really good and they even had packed lunches for when we’re out on a day trip. No cell reception (which we thought was a bonus), but (luckily) great WiFi. Showers were mediocre at best, but the beds were great. Area around the hotel is absolutely stunning; there’s beautiful nature right around the corner.'

'Great for a family stop over. Really nice comfortable rooms and amenities. Highly recommended. The only minor comment is that the kids could not reach the shampoo and shower gel mounted to the wall! A really minor comment but maybe something that could be changed. Would definitely stay at this hotel or their sister hotel in Kingusie (The Crossing) again in the future. '

'Easy to find and well sign posted. The property was clean and tidy with a nice little welcome pack. The view was stunning, even with misty starts and the little play area was easily supervised from the pods. 'Our original room, The Robert Burns Siute, was dark, and faced the road with a view of the dumpsters. After complaining immediately to the manager, he booked us into room 2, Mary Queen of Scott’s, a beautiful room facing the loch with breath-taking views. Heated floors in the bathroom, a comfortable king bed and excellent service rounded out our experience. The loud 1970s music blaring during our adequate dinner was unpleasant though.'

"The hotel has a good location and decent rooms, but our stay was marred by several issues. Our shower was broken upon arrival, leaving us unable to shower for a full day. We had to build makeshift water barriers with towels to prevent flooding. Service at the front desk was poor. Our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay, and when we asked about it, staff falsely claimed we had declined housekeeping, which we hadn’t. The elevator smelled strongly of vomit throughout our visit and was never addressed. After the shower was finally repaired, no one informed us or followed up, and there was no apology for the inconvenience. The breakfast area often felt unclean — tables were sticky, and between 8:00 and 9:00 it got overcrowded quickly, with food items running out fast."
