Chalets in Hilo

'Beautiful, peaceful location just minutes away from the Volcanoes National Park entrance. Road access is unpaved and little dicey so a bigger SUV is helpful. Clean and well decorated interior and tons of flowers and birds just outside the windows. We had a pair of friendly pheasants who stopped by in the mornings. Beds are comfy and it has all the amenities you need! Unfortunately the hot tub was out of commission during our visit - but it would be perfect after hiking around the park! Owners...

'In Hawaii we speak of Mana, to outsiders that can be felt in something that raises the hair on the back of your neck. You feel it in the air, something mysterious but not so silly as ghosts. No, this house is filled with a spirit of its own where you can feel the life of all those that have passed through these doors. If the walls could speak it would tell you the stories of some great writer who sat where you are now staring out to the stream below. If there was one word to describe this house...

'This is a great place to stay! Walking distance to the beach! Beautiful View from the bedroom and lanai! Comfortable bed! Everything that you could need for cooking, snorkeling, and just enjoying your stay without having to drive anywhere if you don't want to! I would definitely stay here again!'
