'Perfect location, can walk just a short walk to the ocean cliffs and sit and watch the ocean. You can even hear the waves at night from my room. Just a room with bed, microwave, fridge, and bathroom. Nice outdoor table area that is covered so you can eat outside. Highly recommend.'

The location is somewhat secluded and the waves and nearby tropical forests were stunning. Whales, turtles, tidal pools, all within minutes. People are very friendly in the area. Recommended!'

'We loved being directly on this calm beach, with beach chairs, pool noodles and snorkel gear provided. The screened in lanai was beautiful and fun to people watch, and mostly local families used this beach, so it was quiet at night to listen to the frog chorus. The place is exquisitely decorated and furnished. So comfortable! And close to town, restaurants and the airport.'

'We have stayed here before and knew it was clean, close to the ocean and had everything we needed. The host, Andy, is so friendly. He would help in any way possible. We could hear the ocean waves crashing into the cliffs. I fantastic time and wonderful place to stay.'

'Great location close to Volcano park. Musty smelling room – very damp environment. It was a bit cool and the small heater didn’t really work. There is a dirt driveway and parking area. Enjoyed the delicious muffins and papaya which were provided.'

'Very poor - while John is in Thailand. Arrived 7PM. Another party was occupying my room. The other party couldn't gain access to THEIR room, so they took MINE. No-one was around. They called the phone number many times and left messages. The room they took was completely unacceptable. The 'wall of mold spores' hit me in the face as soon as I entered. No way I could stay for even 2 seconds, or 2 minutes - never mind two nights. The other party reported mold on the bedding/elsewhere. How could...

No, this house is filled with a spirit of its own where you can feel the life of all those that have passed through these doors. If the walls could speak it would tell you the stories of some great writer who sat where you are now staring out to the stream below. If there was one word to describe this house...

'This is a great place to stay! Walking distance to the beach! Beautiful View from the bedroom and lanai! Comfortable bed! Everything that you could need for cooking, snorkeling, and just enjoying your stay without having to drive anywhere if you don't want to! I would definitely stay here again!'
