'This property is certainly has comfortible rooms and excellent soaps and lotions in the rooms. Maid service 2x's per day is excellent! Where the property could use improvement: cleaner pools, with 24/7 access pools water feels like a lot of bodies have made the water mucky. Access to the Ocean bay is far too hot late in the afternoon and again the water is not clear. Maybe access in the morning?? Food is average and this would include Brown's their 5 Star restaurant. 'We had the absolute best stay at the Koa Kea. We loved how the resort is on the smaller side, and you can easily walk out of your room and to the pool, beach, or to some nearby businesses (little fish, puka dog, surf shop..). The staff was super friendly and accommodating as well. I also loved being greeted with real leis, chocolate for our honeymoon, and wine in the room when we arrived! The pool bar had some yummy food, and good drinks. The sunrise yoga was fantastic as well. We stayed here...

'I loved the cultural activities and the hotel itself is lovely, room was quiet and I’m sensitive to these things.
I wouldn’t recommend the restaurants, I had a bad experience in one that the management had to resolve, and when I tried to revisit I found the staff (different staff) incredibly rude. I got the impression that service level very much depends on the tip.
To be specific about one of the incidents, the restaurant staff were yelling at everyone threatening to have us arrested for...
