Ryokans in Zuid-Kioto

'It may look like a budgethotel at first for my European eyes, however the friendly staff give it a better experience than a 5-star European hotel. A very good start in Japan for me.'

'It was a nice place to stay away from the busy city life. Unfortunately there was construction going on and it was very inconvienent to pass by the site, especially with a stroller. The place was not really toddler friendly but will work for older children. Could be a bit cleaner. Overall the host was very polite and nice and welcomed us with a tea ceremony. Thank you!'

'Booked this as an anniversary present and it was a great place to stay. The venue is beautiful with different areas to eat dinner and a buffet for breakfast. Different Onsen's to use if you don't have one in your room. We had 1 in our room which was big enough to fit 2 people and had a view and slightly open so you got a wonderful breeze.
