'We were lucky to find this alternative within one day when Alexander Apartments did not communicate through the VRBO app and we could not check in into their apartment. Powdene House is right in the centre which has advantages and inconveniences too. You come in through the back which was quite unattractive at first but for a short stay acceptable. The apartment is best for two but we were four and managed. At night there is quite lot of noise which could spoil your night but we were very tired...

'The neighborhood and location were wonderful. Easily accessible to pubs, cafes, restaurants, grocery etc. Being tucked into the quiet neighborhood just a block away from all the shops made our stay very peaceful & quiet. We would definitely come again! '

'Lovely little base for exploring everything the Lakes has to offer. Apartment lovely and clean, and ideally located with several shops and eateries nearby. Parking was fine for us with it being a quieter time of year (street parking) but I would imagine this would be a bit trickier in the busier months. 'Nice apartment and good location. However the second bedroom was not presented as it was in the photos. In the photographs it shows a double bed with bedside tables and lamps either side of the bed. In reality the double bed is pushed up against a wall and there was no bedside tables or lamps. '

'This was a good place to stay for a visit to Glasgow. The flat was very large--plenty of room for two adults and two teenage children to spread out a bit. There were shops and restaurants nearby. Kelvingrove Gardens was also close, and we enjoyed walking through it to reach the university and other parts of the West End.
