B&B in Schotland

'Guesthouse is op de doorgaande weg naar het centrum wat met de bus makkelijk te doen is. Niet veel parkeergelegenheid. Kamer was ruim en ondanks verkeer redelijk rustig. Eigenaars zijn bijzonder vriendelijk. Wel verdient het schilder- en schoonmaakwerk binnen wat aandacht en een (overigens erg lieve) hond in de keuken waar het ontbijt gemaakt wordt, kan echt niet.'

'We stayed for 3 nights. Location was perfect: near great hiking trails/ beautiful places and there were some restaurants in the same street. The room was a bit small with little space to put our luggage, but very clean and comfortable. Service was amazing. When our shoes and clothes were completely drenched after a hike in the rain, we were offered an electrical heater and some old newspapers to dry our shoes. Our clothes were put in the washing and dryer, so we could continue our holiday with...

'Hosts were very helpful and understanding. Early checkin: No problem! This morning when I asked my waterbottles (bidon) to be filled for my bikeride to Glasgow, they put in especially icecubes! This helped through the day! '

'The Island Bear is very conveniently located in the cneter of Islay, a block away from ameneties, and the revered Bowmore distillery. The propert is nice, clean and lovingly mainted by the couple who also live there and are very helpful. Dunca (the owner) prepared deliciious Scotish breakfast every morning and was a reservoir of Islay knowledge. He knows every body on the Island, and everyone knows him fondly. I had great discussion with Duncan at breakfast every morning, and it was a highlight...

'Net hotel, de kamer was wel erg knus en er was geen fatsoenlijke kast. Maar de badkamer maakte dat voor ons goed met een ruime douche en regendouchekop en normale douchekop. Het hotel is op een super fijne locatie met verschillende supermarkten en goede restaurants dichtbij. En via de buslijnen kom je overal. '

'Staff was very helpful, breakfast was abundant- nice fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, porridge, cereals, fresh fruit, coffee tea juices jams cheeses and ham. Fresh baked cake and muffins. The room was rather small for a double room, as were bed and bathroom. Very clean though. Nice to have a small fridge in the room. Easy to walk into town- we could reach everything by walking which was lovely. Okay place to stay for a couple of nights. '
