Pensions in Glasgow

'This is more a hostel than a family room. We had to take off our shoes at the house entrance but the floors were dirty and hair balls on the bathroom floor. The yard is run down and very cheap furnishings. I paid way too much at 247.92 to sleep on Ikea bunk beds. Communication was poor as I tried contacting them multiple times with no response. Im concerned as to why they are called Bellavista on Expedia but when you get there it is Forty Winks.'

'Perfect location for a nice walk to the castle! Shanna was super kind and very responsive, messaging me back very quickly when I had a question. Room had gorgeous new interior design and breakfast was perfect. "Leo" the lion guarded me outside my window.'

'We really enjoyed our stay Keith was very welcoming and helpful and accommodating we sadly never met his wife but we did enjoy a lovely breakfast cooked by her would definitely go back again'

'The room was very poorly lit, no lights apart from small wall lights which being sight impaired I struggled with. Tap was loose and wobbly in bathroom sink.'

'a very good value for money option for those wanting to stay near glasgow. Reasonable commute by car to the city (1/2 hour or so) - suggest you go the more Country route. Local area isn’t significant, so suggest you eat in the city. Our large room got a lovely sunset, whilst sitting on a large raised couch. Quiet. (though the birds can get noisy for a bit - nothing the property can do about that though). Sheep in the garden ! Recommended.'

'I stayed here for two nights by myself. The guy who owns the place is friendly and put on a nice continental breakfast (salmon, cheese, eggs, fruit, yogurt, cereal, and brewed coffee). The bed was comfortable too. The building and furniture are pretty dated though and in need of upgrading. My room door lock was also temperamental. However, that said it was clean overall and the host mentioned he’s actively renovating, which is good to hear as it’s got potential to be a beautiful building...

'We had a really nice stay at Thistle House Guest House. We received a very warm welcome by Sue and her sister in law. The house itself is well maintained and breakfast was plenty and delicious. Can only recommend, especially if you are looking for somewhere quite with a great view. '
