'We stayed for 9 nights and there was not a day without some kind of mistake or misunderstanding. The staff is very very polite and friendly, but they lack professionalism and training. Some servers in the restaurants don’t speak very good English, so that can be an area of improvement. The overall impression is that the whole operation is out of tune. Strong management and review of all aspects of operations is recommended. Alila is not on par with the rest of the Mayakoba hotels.'

'We enjoyed our stay over there, Staff was really helpful and friendly, the nights entertainment shows were amazing, food in rest La hacienda was absolutely perfect that we went twice, food at La vaqueria was not good at all neither in the Italian Restaurant that I do not remember the name now, the buffets restaurant were good, a lot of options, the service was great and finally I think the swimming pools could be a little cleaner that they were, but they were ok overall'

'The hotel is beautiful and the pools were very clean and well maintained. The grounds were very well kept and they attempted to clean up the sargassum best they could given the circumstances. However, the food was far below expectation. We frequently struggled to find something to eat and items on the buffet were cold despite being there the second that it opened. Room service was sparse with only a few items to choose from- but they have an excellent app for ordering and seeing what was going...

'This was one of the most dreamy places I've ever visited. The grounds were gorgeous between the beach, the jungle, and the architecture. The service was unrivaled. Luxurious in every sense. Can't wait to come back!'
