'A great starting point to visit Cornwall because the atlactic and southern coast lines as well as the western part of Dartmore National Park are reachable within an our (of so) by car. Jamaica Inn is sometimes crowded and busy probably because all sorts of people visit it, but the real pub fealing is always present. 'Nice place in quiet surroundings. Rooms are comfortable, dinner was really tasty and breakfast was very nice as well. Only down side was that they finish up at 10 pm and we had guests joining us for dinner, so we felt a bit rushed in the end because we weren't informed in advance. 'The room was clean, warm, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful and polite, although we couldn’t find anyone at the bar when we wanted to check in and we couldn’t find a bell. It is an old building and the stairs to our room were quite steep and narrow and quite a lot of them. They allowed us to park in the car park for the two days, although we were only staying the one night.'

'Gorgeous old pub in a village setting. Lots of parking. The accommodation buildings are set apart from the pub, and our room was beautiful. Breakfast is served in the pub restaurant- but the landlord will deliver a jug of milk in the morning for use with the tea making facilities. Just make sure the sign outside your door is set to “yes please” for milk! No plastic in sight. We ate at the pub in the evening and the food and service were very good too. '

Rooms are above a pub that serves tasty food and extensive beverages, plus you get to listen to the bass from the pub after you go up to your room. The breakfast was exceptional, cuppacino in place of coffee. My favority breakfast after 3 week of travel in England and 10 or so different inns.'

'what do you expect from a hotel which is very cheap. we found it out and it became true. the room was not in a very good condition, not very proper and not been cleaned during the four nights we were there. dogs in another room which made a lot of noise and a strange machine outside which also made a teriible noise even till late. 'We enjoyed a fabulous one night stay at Haveners. Room 2 was luxurious with a large comfy bed, beautifully decorated and a wonderful bathroom with rain head shower. It was just perfect with views of the quayside and water. Lovely to sit and watch the little Polruan ferry coming and going. "Boeking was niet doorgekomen, dus konden de kamer niet op. Werdt een “alternatief “ aangeboden. Een vies aftans motel/hostel. Schimmel in de kamers, een sigarettenlucht (dus hoofdpijn in de ochtend) een deur die niet op slot kan een douche die slecht werkt en bedden zo hard als steen. Maargoed toch gebleven we waren al meer dan 18 uur onderweg met kind, die wou ook rusten. In de ochtend moesten we terug rijden naar chinafleet om te ontbijten en wachten totdat er een kamer vrij kwam. Uiteindelijk een kamer gekregen welke ontzettend naar de kerrie rook, volgende ochtend gemeld, weer een andere kamer gekregen. Deze was wel goed, personeel was uitermate vriendelijk daar valt niks op aan te merken. Alleen de manager moet wel een passend alternatief aanbieden en niet zoiets als dit."
