Positief: Netheid, voorzieningen en staat van de accommodatie en faciliteiten
Far from airport, but worth it to be close to Playa del Carmen and all the attractions. Room was large and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Large breakfast buffet with good food. Complimentary room service for breakfast. Lots of restaurants with good food. Nice pool. The cons - mosquitoes in the room. We would kill a few every night, but would miss one, who would feast on my son while he was sleeping. They clearly fly in when the maid props open the door. Closing the door would be a good preventative measure! On the fifth day, someone showed up asking if we wanted our room sprayed, so was clearly a problem in all rooms. Wish I had known to request on the first day. There are also a ton of coatis roaming around the pool, and rummaging through trash cans. They are cute, but they are wild animals that can bite. Wouldn't want to stay here with small children, as I would constantly be trying to prevent them from petting them. Also had raccoons on the path to our building. Because of the open architecture, one entered our lobby, pulled down the garbage can by the elevator, and scattered garbage all over. We had to wait until it left before going up to our rooms, since we didn't want to risk being attacked. Was also one lying on the stairs. So every night we had to creep up to our room looking for raccoons who might be in our path. I don't think the adult-only section had the same animal problem.
