The checkin staff is terrible, un-prepared and unwilling to accommodate whatsoever. We booked 2 queen beds river suite for our stay. They gave us a king bed and a sofa the first night. The sofa bed coverts basically on the floor and very hard. Our kids are 7 and 9. They had an issue with our kids ages and attempted to charge us an additional “fee” which was totally unacceptable. The kids sofa bed does not come with blankets or pillows like you would find at other fine resorts. We had to call and request these items. When the blankets arrived, they came with a thin blanket and some white sheets. Nothing extra. I should have taken a picture of the bed on the floor. They seem overwhelmed with this new added section of the hotel and totally unprepared. It is a very slow process at checkin. We booked through Expedia. We spent a total of about 6 hours at the front desk (3 hours when we checked in and another 3 hours when we tried to change our room - I am not exaggerating). It was very frustrating and I was trying to keep my cool because I wanted my wife and kids to have a great week we’d are here before school starts. Also, heads up if you looked online like we did and saw all of the wonderful restaurants, the finer dining restaurants need reservations!!! There are absolutely no exceptions or accommodations/waitlist!!!!The staff told us they are booked at least a month in advance. This is our second night here and it does not look like we are even going to be able to eat there.
