'Over the years I had driven past and thought how attractive it looked and intended to stay. The setting and interior exceeded my expectations. The view of the gardens and village from our room was gorgeous. Similarly the bar and restaurant were beautifully decorated and quintessentially English. The staff in reception and restaurant were friendly and highly professional.'

'Great property, but looking a little “tired” in places. Some window frames need replacing, some carpets look dirty . Staff are very helpful but sometimes the IT infrastructure seems to let the customer down. Last point - the bedrooms need more power outlets to cope with all of the devices that people now want to recharge each day'

'Gratis gebruik van stoombad,sauna,fitness. Het ligt buiten het centrum,maar daar ben je zo met een taxi voor 4 pond. Dus helemaal top!genoten en typisch Engels.'

'Friendly pub with good food. Breakfast was freshly cooked and used excellent ingredients. Rooms were clean and warm with a good shower and lots of hot water. I would use this hotel again '
