'Over the years I had driven past and thought how attractive it looked and intended to stay. The setting and interior exceeded my expectations. The view of the gardens and village from our room was gorgeous. Similarly the bar and restaurant were beautifully decorated and quintessentially English. The staff in reception and restaurant were friendly and highly professional.'

'The room was really hot as there is no A/C and the window only opened about 2 inches. However, there was a fan in the wardrobe. Sadly, though, the fan operated on a two hour timer, so I was up every two hours or so turning it back on. Not conducive to a good night's sleep. The bed was comfortable enough, though I don't like feather pillows. The shower curtain in installed too far into the bath and constantly sticks to you. Annoying! 'Niet erg vriendelijk.. ook niet onvriendelijk maar kort en zakelijk. We werden ‘s avonds gesommeerd het terras te verlaten om 22.00 uur terwijl de bar open zou zijn tot 23.00 uur. Ontbijt was oké maar alleen zoet beleg.. geen kaas of vleeswaren of ei. Verder niet zoveel te beleven in de omgeving.'
