'Very beautiful castle, friendly staff and great food'

'We thoroughly enjoyed staying in a castle. Staff were very friendly and professional . There was a selection of two menus for dinner. The more casual menu had steak and ale pie which was exceptional and a generous portion size. The hotel is conveniently located to visit Hadrian's Wall and the Roman History Museum. 'We traveled two weeks in Scotland and Appleby Castle had by far the most delicious dinner. Staff was small but worked hard and swift. Castle was cozy and true to its heritage. '

'Prijs kwaliteit zeker niet in verhouding. Kamer erg klein, klein bed, zodat je niet eens langs elkaar kunt lopen. Dode vliegen in de vensterbank. Zeer slecht en beperkt ontbijt. Kies zeker niet voor continental, want dat betekent dat je alleen cerials en yoghurt met wat fruit hebt. sap uit pak of fles. Over het geheel viel dit erg tegen. Als je in een oud kasteel zit, kun je verwachten dat het niet al te lux is, maar je mag op zijn minst voor deze prijs wat ruimte verwachten en een goed ontbijt....

'If you are thinking about staying at The Hunting Tower to enjoy the area, view and to visit Chatsworth House with unlimited access then this is for you. We absolutely loved our stay, such a unique building and well taken care of, considering it's age, it was all extremely comfortable.
