'The hosts provide a perfect place to stay. It is cozy, but seems more roomy than the pictures suggest. Each room is enhanced by tastefully chosen art, furniture and unusually varied lighting. The kitchen has a surprising amount of functionality, not least of which is how attractive it is. We didn't cook since Alameda has excellent, affordable restaurants nearby, We slept well.'

'I was only there for one evening. I wanted to be close to the Oakland airport for my Monday mid morning flight to avoid traffic. It’s a perfect place for that. No need to get on the freeway and just a short 4-5 mile drive down the hill. Very pretty area too. Oh and the water pressure for the shower was awesome and heats up quick. Thank you again for a very convenient and peaceful stay! I will stay again when in the area. '

'The garden was truly beautiful and well tended to, you can just tell it’s cared for with love. On top of the garden, her dog charlotte was truly lovely. Such a friendly lady dog. I believe that if you love her garden and dog you’ll also like Georgina, she is just a wonderful woman. Her soul reminds me of a flower. I honestly would come here again if I just needed to get away from everything because it really is a calming environment! '

'We loved this apartment. The unit is beautiful and stylish and very quiet. The bathroom especially is full of luxurious high end touches (like double shower heads and heated floors). The porch features gorgeous flowers and lovely resident hummingbirds. 'We have stayed here twice because family is in the area. It is very clean and well stocked for us. Husband works remote when we are there and the wifi is great. Super responsive host. Highly recommend.'

'We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It’s a cozy, recently constructed cottage with all modern amenities. It’s very well designed in every respect with lots of cupboard and storage space. There is parking in the driveway.The location couldn’t be better. It’s walking distance to shops and restaurants along College Ave.Patty, the owner, lives in the front house and is very personable and accommodating. We’re looking forward to staying here again!'

'I am not sure if it's the property manager, who did call and apologize the next day, or VRBO processes and management. We were not able to access the property at midnight, having just arrived in Oakland. After repeated attempts to contact the property manager all day for a door code, I finally called VRBO. The property had been rented, possibly under a different company. I am not sure. We were left to find accomodations at 1 AM. The property was right by the family's house we were visiting so...
