'Our family is spread out and we don't all get together often. We wanted a nice quiet spot to relax and catch up. This property was the perfect spot. The house was comfortable with lots of room. Everything we needed was there. The yard is nice with lots of birds and the occasional deer. On our last morning, a rabbit came by to visit. Some of us are already thinking of returning.And we got to sample some Mercury Ice Cream. A bonus!!!'

But if you’re looking for somewhere a little more comfortable and convenient than camping, don’t want to worry about whether it will rain, know what you’re getting into with a composting toilet, and a rustic outdoor shower is your idea of luxury, you’ll have a wonderful stay.'

'While my love affair with Campobello Island started with an overnight camping trip to Herring Cove Provincial park, this property sealed the deal. This is my second stay at the Starfish and it is heaven on earth. Nothing compares to the wildlife encounters I’ve had at the scenic overlook. It’s clear how much Dennis cares about the island and I will continue to stay at his amazing cottages as long as he continues to offer them for others to enjoy. '
