'Ocracoke in the early spring is always a treat and this visit did not disappoint. Red Beard's Retreat is a little gem one block off Hwy 12 across from the village Variety store. Our unit was comfortably furnished and check-in was seamless. We had everything we needed and the housekeeper, Maria, lived upstairs and was always available to answer any questions we had. 'The property was super clean and the property manager was super responsive. First night was great. Super quiet tenants above us. Second night not so much. The tenant above us was super loud all night. However, that is not on the property manager. Just inconsiderate tenants. Overall, we really liked this property and would recommend it to others.'

'Hello, We stay Friday - Monday over Labor Day weekend. I wanted to see Cape Lookout. We took the ferry over on Saturday, which was just a short quick ride to the ferry dock from the house. We did purchase our tickets before going and the Ferries were sold out that afternoon. The restaurant across the street was wonderful. We had 2 dinners over there.
