'When we pulled up to Shady Rest we thought, "okay.." But when we got inside, we were blown away, because for the price of a hotel room we had an entire house! John, the owner, greeted us and we got to know each other a little bit He was friendly and made sure we lacked nothing. John even offered us plums and/or apples from his fruit trees. 'I love the layout of this hotel with the size and shape of the lot that it's on. They designed it to wear every room has a view of the lake. It was cleaning comfortable the rooms had been updated, The shower was absolutely fabulous after spending a week and a camper. I can't speak for the breakfast as we decided to go just down the street to Betty's diner for brunch. But definitely stay here again.'
