'The room was huge - one bedrm with a king bed, lots of drawers, a closet, a desk and a tv. A livingroom with a couch, two comfy armchairs and tv. Yet, it is described as a 'solo' room meaning it is for one person - We had to pay an extra $50 for my partner which I thought was odd! There were two ACs, one in each room, that were set to 67⁰ - this Memorial wknd it was 50⁰ and raining. We tried to raise the heat but to no avail, it was blowing cold air. 'Historical building with lots of character, lobby fireplace was warming on a rainy day. The first floor lobby and dining rooms are very dark, great atmosphere but bring a little flashlight. Met a lot of nice people during our stay. The welcoming scotch was fantastic. We heard the breakfast was minimal. It was not, filled with all kinds of homemade apple strudel, mushroom quiche, chocolate pastries, many other delicious sweet muffins, etc.'

'I want to give this quaint hotel five stars. The place is beautiful, the staff are super friendly and helpful and professional! The restaurant was Devine - top notch food and spirits! It’s just that it’s not restful. We were up until the staff were done for the night, then other guests filtered in making their own racket. It’s an old house - so it’s truly not meant or designed to be sound-proof. Outside of the disruptions, this was a fantastic stay!'
