'If you are looking for a slower paced experience, this is a lovely place to stay. The neighbors are friendly, and the tavern at the end of the road had wonderful food and good service. The village was peaceful and charming. It was easy to get to almost anywhere in Scotland with 3-5 hour drives. The road in to the village is quaint and you need to take your time getting in. Can’t wait to come back.'

'Wij troffen het huisje keurig netjes, schoon aan. Bedden waren opgemaakt. Uitzicht is geweldig. HEt enige wat niet lekker werkte was de douche in het bad. Wij vermoeden dat de waterdruk niet hoog genoeg was. Maar ja, er is nog een douche in het huisje dus daar douchen of anders lekker in bad ;-)'

'Views are beautiful, house is comfortable but a little tired. The location and peace and quiet are fabulous, nearest supermarket is 50 minutes drive so come prepared. Perhaps some comfy chairs outside to sit and enjoy the view.'

'We stayed at Cockleshell Lodge for 10 days in November and had a fabulous time. The lodge is right on the waters edge and we would have paid for the view alone. It is absolutely stunning. There are dog walks straight from the lodge and no need to get the car ut all around the Ballimore Estate and we met the "Lady of the House" who told us some interesting facts about the estate.
