'This is a very unique hotel in the area of Puerto Aventuras, an area that is otherwise quite dominated by big chain resort hotels. The staff are exceptionally friendly and makes you feel like you're part of a family rather than 'just another tourist'. Breakfasts are amazing! Rooms were clean and comfortable, great design of the hotel inside and outside. You can also use their bicycles which is a fun way to go around the town.'

'We really enjoyed our stay here with the whole family. Theatre is awesome to watch some great shows in the evening. Overall there was something to do for everyone. The beach is very very nice!'

'Wonderful resort for a family vacation! The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were current and clean, and the buffet had a great selection for adults and kids. The pools were well-maintained, and not too cold! Swimming with the turtles daily was a huge highlight. The resort is also close to several cenotes that you can visit. Many amenities to keep kids entertained, plus the great beach, will have us coming back. '

'Het is een groot complex en daar moet je van houden; het is dus overal behoorlijk druk. M.n. Amerikanen en Mexicanen, met hun eigen gewoontes. Strand en zee erg mooi, hoewel er in de zee veel (grote) stenen liggen en je even moet oppassen als je erin loopt. Je ligt onder een palmboom op een wit strand, super. Buffet was compleet en je krijgt netjes een tafel toegewezen; geen Turkse resort taferelen, men is erg beleefd. Minpunten: betalen voor wifi is zo niet meer van deze tijd. Het enig hotel...

'We stayed at barcelo Maya Riviera adults only in early November and had a great time. We loved the buffet and Agave restaurant specifically (we are not fussy with food, we thought everything was great, I had tacos every day!). The beach area is awesome to snorkel and observe coral life, we saw so many types of fish, stingrays, and even a sea turtle. I highly recommend bringing water shoes and a snorkel unless you are ok getting it from the gift shop! We also walked through the grounds and...
