'The abode is located in the basement of a very nice home in a quiet neighborhood. It has a private entrance, very spacious living room and a small kitchenette. There was plenty of towels provided as well as an ironing board/iton, broom and vacuum. Since it is in the lower level of a home, you do have the noise of people above you but it was very quiet at night and in the early morning.It snowed while we were visiting and the host was so kind he cleared our walkway too. 'The historic Funk home is a true gem. I love classic Victorian homes and the renovation work done to this home and the tasteful decor and cleanliness provided an impressive welcome for our stay. We were attending my brother's music festival; Fredfest, didn't get to spend much time at the house, but will try to schedule for next year to fully appreciate what the home has to offer.'

'We had a nice stay at this home, it suited our group well. The layout is good for multiple sets of couples and I liked the access to resort amenities and access to restaurants and local activities. The house is located on a side road in the resort so low traffic and quiet area, good for a relaxing time.'

'Beautiful property and views. Stayed overnight with my Shepherd as we traveled back home on a long trip. Great open property to walk with my dog. Large basement rental with large kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. Plenty of TVs too! Being a basement rental, I could hear the family walking around upstairs so keep that in mind if it bothers you. Private gated entrance, nice patio, and private entrance to basement. 'The Ridgeview Retreat was the perfect backdrop for our girls' getaway! The home was spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. We especially loved the serene outdoor spaces — so peaceful and relaxing. Plus, the location couldn't have been better, with great breweries and wineries just minutes away. We'd absolutely return for another laid-back and memorable vacation.'

'We loved this beautiful, colorful house! It was clean, comfortable, spacious and cheerful. Our kids (ages 8-18) had a blast in the game room and billiard room. The communication with the host was very friendly, fast and efficient. Highly recommended! '

'This was a wonderful weekend get away and you could tell the owner put a lot of thought and attention into making this a fun place for the adults and kids. I loved the holiday lights she had up and a beautiful view of the mountains. Everything was clean and up to date. We appreciated the space and the hot tub was the icing on the cake!'

'The house is old but looks newly painted inside. It boasts a good size kitchen, dining room and 4 double bedrooms. There is a first floor bedroom if someone can’t walk the stairs. We used the screened side porch a lot and the hot tub every night. The only thing needed to enjoy outside hot tub are lights for the stairs to the deck. Close to Blue Ridge Parkway and 20 minutes from Charlottesville. '
