'Het huis is erg oud en de kamer in slechte staat, de badkamer moest je delen met 4 anderen kamers. Er zou ontbijt zijn maar de keuken wordt verbouwd, de receptie was alleen telefonisch te bereiken, de hulp deed heel erg zijn best.
Eens maar nooit meer.'

'Little did we know when we planned our stay that we would hit a bank holiday this weekend in Edinburgh. Possibly because of this, reasonably affordable rooms in the city center could not be found at all. A room at this hotel was still the most affordable. Previous reviews were often quite negative. Still, we opted for it for the cost. The carpet on the stairs was indeed quite worn and full of holes. The room was very basic, bed quite narrow for 2, bedding and towels were good. Bathroom OK. 'Visiting Edinburgh in the busiest week of the year was no problem. Even a large building pit on the edge of the city at that time gave barely any inconvenience. Of course, many tourists, but the people are friendly and accessible. We visited a few of the many pubs. Tried the fish and chips. Walked the royal mile between the Place of Hollyroodhouse and Edinburgh castle, through the old town and the new town.
