« The property was unfortunately not as advertised and the photos felt very misleading. While the bedding, kitchen and bathroom were clean, overall the place felt quite tired and in need of an upgrade. The walls, carpets and couches all needed a proper clean and there were no base covers on the bed. Which are usually a norm in most homes, so expected in a letting. There were also several maintenance issues including a broken stair rail and a shower that only worked as a handheld attachment....

We booked one night and after some deliberation we booked a second consecutive night separately believing it would be the same property. Upon arrival at the property we soon realized the house was divided into two separate residences, an east wing and a west wing. At no point did Black Sheep Hotels tell us that the property was made up of two residences and that we had in fact booked one night in each...

« Our time in St. Andrews was really enhanced by our choice of Marvyn’s house. It was everything a visitor could hope for. Everything was neatly laid out with instructions and suggestions. The walk into town was easy, we carried our golf clubs right to the Old Course both days of play. The hot tub was a welcomed opportunity after a long walk. « We took our entire family to celebrate grandmas 90th birthday. The house was perfect for us, we had a great time. We found the kitchen was reasonably well equipped, another fridge would have been great, but we managed. There were plenty of chairs and places to just be. We had fun outside in the garden and we appreciated the climbing rose… and the table tennis and piano were an absolute win too! »

"Malgré un accueil moyen, avec un personnel aimable au minimum. Nous avons eu la chance de trouver une (petite) chambre propre et bien organisé. L’endroit est calme et vraiment bien situé pour visiter la ville à pied. Concernant le petit déjeuner, nous avions lu des avis négatifs à ce sujet et nous tenons à contraster : le petit déjeuné était très bien. Les produits de qualités et bien achalandés. En bref, nous reviendrons dans cet hôtel si nous avions l’intention de visiter la ville à nouveau."

"J’ai eu la chance de séjourner une semaine à l’Apex Hotel Waterloo Place, et je mesure mes mots ! Ma chambre offrait une vue magnifique sur la ville, un vrai plaisir de se réveiller chaque matin avec cette vue. Mais ce qui a vraiment fait la différence, c’est le personnel : disponible, chaleureux, à l’écoute du moindre besoin. On sentait une réelle attention portée aux clients, avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de professionnalisme. Merci à toute l’équipe pour ce bel accueil, et surtout au jeune homme qui s’est occupé de mon arrivée, et du suivi de mon séjour ! I was fortunate enough to spend a week at the Apex Hotel Waterloo Place, and I mean every word of what I’m about to say! My room offered a really beautiful view over the city, a real pleasure to wake up to each morning. But what truly made the difference was the staff: attentive, warm, and always ready to help with any need. There was a genuine sense of care for guests, combined with real kindness and professionalism. Thank you to the whole team for such a warm welcome, and especially to the young man who took care of my arrival and looked after my stay throughout!"
