'What a great stay. Quick taxi from the train station, but a super unique hotel. Great entrance, wonderful service, great rooms and breakfast every morning. Great restaurants walkable from the hotel. Highly recommend'

'This was our favourite accommodation throughout Japan. The room was huge with a separate toilet and powder room to the bathroom. Japanese PJ's were provided which was a nice touch, also a hair straightener and curler and Nespresso coffee pods. The staff were amazing, so polite and helpful and always smiling. The breakfast was an experience in itself - opt for the Japanese style breakfast- it was delicious. The location was perfect, only a 5 min walk to the Keihan subway line and walking distance...

'The room was spotless, and exactly what we wanted. The hotel is clean, in a great location, and very minimilistic. We would stay here again if we ever make it back to Kyoto.'

'Nice hotel with good WiFi and free coffee. The rooms are small/cramped, but I think that’s just what you tend to get in Kyoto from what I’ve heard. The location is hard to beat, there’s probably 100 restaurants (not an exaggeration) within a 5 minute walk and the train stations are an easy walk. '

'Clean rooms. Well appointed with coffee/tea/snacks and mini bar. Very relaxing. Restaurant was very good for dinner and traditional Japanese breakfast (NOT Western style if that is your hope) walkable to transit, convenience stores, restaurants and some traditional temple sites. Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend! '

'We had such a great experience staying at Minn Kiyomizu Gojo! The place was spotless — super clean and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by how much extra space there was, and the amenities were excellent. Having a washer and dryer right in the room was a huge bonus. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making everything so easy and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The location was also perfect — close to many of Kyoto’s main attractions, yet in a quiet and safe area...
