'A unique and very comfortable place to stay in Rutherfordton, NC during IEA National Jumper Championship. Super convenient on-street parking and very comfortable beds. Very close to the Tryon International Equestrian Center. The old updated municipal center made for a very interesting Inn and a nice tour by Mary, the Inn Keeper. She is very friendly, accommodating and always looking for a way to make your stay even better. Donna, the chef, prepared a delicious breakfast and told us more about...

'Bed was clean and both mattress and pillows were comfortable. Bathroom tub, toilet and sink area was clean. Bathroom floor looked like it needed a little extra cleaning. I know it can be difficult for housekeeping staff to view the room from the bathtub and toilet but if so, it would be good to do that because that is what your guest see. We had the King suite and we loved how spacious it was and the additional seating in the room was great. Overall definitely worth the affordable price.'

'This was our first trip to 1927 Lake Lure Hotel but not the last I hope. Staff was excellent and so helpful. The room was very clean. The whole property is so pretty and the antiques are a very nice touch in the lobby as well as on every landing. The only thing I would add is to have restaurant open we would have rather to have eaten there. Hope to come back with my best friends for a girl trip soon. '

'They are clearly taking advantage of Covid-19. Only 1 restaurant open. Not a full menu. No restaurants open for breakfast. No room cleaning service. No fresh towels. Even if I was to exchange the used towels. No garbage pick up. I was lead to believe that my room was walking distance to everything. It wasn't! It wasn't even on the main property. It was a good 5 minute drive & minimum half hour walk. The room was quaint. Way too many restrictions on everything. No sauna or steam...

'Bed was comfortable and service was good. Some guests across the way were up late working on a vehicle and other guests were arguing loudly a couple doors down. Fortunately it all stopped by midnight and I was able to drown out the noise in the meantime by keeping the fan on and the TV on low. Other than some rude guests, the room was clean, had everything I needed, and I did get plenty of sleep for field work the following morining.'

'It was quite pleasant and peaceful I was offered non smoking room, staff were also friendly and helpful when i called them, i saw some rating mentioned about their rooms condition but my room was great in terms of stay , what else you expect from two star hotel '

'The person at the front desk was friendly. The facilities were very scary to say the least. The facility is very ran down. Group of people in parking lot having a cook out. Room smelled strongly of years of smoking. Insects in bathroom. This one should not be listed on Hotels.com'
