B&B in North Carolina

'At nearly $500 per night and given their Michelin recognition, the experience fell far below expected standards. Key concerns include: - Booking & Check-In: Inability to link our frequent stay number and no notification when our room was ready. - Safety: Loose stone steps and uneven risers lacking handrails from the parking lot, exposed nails on wood planks, and flower pots obstructing the second-floor stair railings. - Room Condition: Despite a 15% discount for two broken lamps, the...

'Paul, the owner, is absolutely amazing. So many beautiful antiques. Breakfast was delightful. We are coming back again next year!'

'Clean and beautiful property nestled in the mountains. Quick and easy check in. The Hotel is over 100 years old so the floors are very creaky and the walls are paper thin and non insulated so you can hear conversations of everyone in the next room. The toilet clogged up and we didn’t even use it and started running all over the floor. Breakfast was ok for a continental breakfast but nothing special. Overall would stay again for 1 or two nights at most though while visiting that area.'

'The property was beautiful and the room was very comfortable and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. Coffee and tea provided in the room, and a lovely hot breakfast along with yogurt, granola and fruit. Would definitely stay again. Easy walk to many delicious restaurants.'

'The only thing I would add is a hot option for breakfast. Right now, it's a cold breakfast.'

'My wife and I had such a romantic time here!'

'Second bed in room didn't have a mattress, very uncomfortable. Booked room for 2 adults and 2 kids. They charged us for two adult breakfasts? Staff was very unfriendly, manager/owner never showed me the courtesy of calling me as requested.'

'We enjoyed our one night at this historic hotel. It is a very unique place with a rich history. Great location. Nice breakfast. We really liked the happy hour with wine and cheese. Recommended.'

'First, the "oceanfront" label is misleading. You cannot see the ocean from this property — and as every beach traveler knows, we pay extra for oceanfront specifically to *see the ocean*. Neither Expedia nor the property's own listings make this clear. They need to be honest about this in their advertising. Second, privacy and security are real concerns. My suite's sliding door opens essentially straight onto the beach with no barrier — I never felt safe leaving it open to hear the waves,...

'Lovelly staff and they make our stay marvelous'
