'This was an amazing place. The house was fantastic. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, campfires at night, and close approximation to everything we wanted. We were able to go see our son at App State for the day and enjoy wine at Linville winery. Our younger kids loved going gem mining and the outdoor roller coaster, which was only a short drive. We will definitely be returning. '

'This was a great cozy cabin in the woods! We used the fire pit at night and the kitchen for a couple meals. We didn't get to see the local bear but the place was great. The road leading to the house is tight so I wouldn't recommend bringing a big trailer but our sprinter made it no problem and a short trailer wouldn't be a problem either.When we were leaving we met the host and she was very nice too. We would gladly come back.'

'The person at check in was so warm and friendly! Our cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the views and the horses were an added bonus! If you’re planning a trip I strongly recommend here! Don’t worry about the temperature, the gas fireplace about ran us out (you can turn it on and off). Plan on staying here again! '

'Overall a great stay! Wish their beds were larger than a full (pretty snug with 2 adults in one bed). Good location, private for being so close to amenities. Neighbor dog was a bit of an annoyance, but eventually was put back inside.Kitchen was great! '

'Home is great. A bit of a challenge to reach due to part of the Blue Ridge Parkway being closed due to Helene. Went with the notion of being a wedding anniversary and near a dark sky site. Excellent in terms of privacy and relative darkness. Spouse is 5'2" and had a lot of trouble entering and exiting the hot tub. The mini split ACs are very effective, although it was challenging to understand they all have to be set to AC or heat to work. I'm technically inclined, so this did not pose an issue...

"One night stay here after staying at their sister hotel in Raleigh. The property itself is fine but no atmosphere compared to Raleigh. Easy parking, clean and comfortable room. Not much to do within walking distance, except a burger takeaway. We tried to walk to a nearby microbrewery. It should've been a 5 minute walk, but we found it impossible to cross the 6-lane highway in front of the motel so gave up and went back to our room. Maybe, as Europeans, we're not used to the American way of driving everywhere, but to visit a brewery, walking would seem a safer option. Pleasant enough motel but not sure we'd return."
