'The room was smaller than I expected but it fit my needs. The air conditioner worked, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and all necessities were provided. The manager is very nice and helpful. The showers could use some updating but they were clean and private. The location makes up for the lack of amenities and the price was very reasonable. I would stay here again. '

'Very friendly and helpful host. If you're a foreign traveler, keep in mind there are shared bathrooms, the walls are thin, and there is not a traditional lock on the door (just a very small padlock). The bathrooms are pretty small, even if you are a shorter person. It is a true rustic traditional Japanese inn. We were comfortable in our room with the tatami mats, blankets, and heater. Great location for getting to the subway, restaurants, and sites. '
