'Dit hotel lijkt niet alleen heel oud, maar is het ook. De badkamer, een belangrijk deel van een kamer, zag er niet fris uit. Toillet spoelde niet goed door. Bad zag er geel uit. Dekbed en kamer rook niet fris. Raam kon maar 10cm open. Al met al, geen goede ervaring.'

'Ajisai Onsen Ryokan presents beautifully. The grounds fit in with the surrounding forest landscape, creating a sense of serenity. The staff were friendly, attentive, and accomodating of various requests, including changes to private onsen access on days when we were engagin in Hakone and Gora's experiences. The ryokan is well situated, close to Gora station and cable car, however, it is a difficult walk due to the general steepness of the area - especially with larger luggage or walking with...

'Excellent service, checking in was fast and friendly. The rooms are large and luxurious with a “Zen” feeling. Breakfast & dining were very good, We tried the onsen, it was outstanding, after this you really feel born again. But most important and probably the best reason to book this hotel is because of the staff, they gave us top service and were so kind and gave us the best tips for sightseeing '

'Leuk hotel, maar de matrassen liggen op de grond op een houten kader. Ik heb 2 knieprothesen en dat is niet evident om van zo een laag bed recht te staan. Het avondeten was lekker, maar veel te duur'
