'Absolutely amazing. We booked the villa with private indoor and outdoor onsens and the space was fantastic. Like a little house, a living room, bedroom, bathroom, bath area next to the indoor onsen, outdoor deck with onsen, and a little patio kind of area outside the living room. Extremely clean and cozy, and the staff made us feel so welcomed immediately. They prepared little honeymoon surprises like a letter, a dessert, and were so sweet always. 'It was quite a journey from the station to the ryokan. Well worth it. Elaborate Japanese dinner and breakfast. Outdoor onsen. The new part of the lodge is 80 years old. It has been on this spot for 300 years. Quick bus ride to Lake Ashi next morning. '
