'Lovely, peaceful hacienda on the outskirts of San Diego. Beautiful garden all around, great pool, jacuzzi, game room. Nice breakfast in the morning. Staff very friendly. Fan, but no airco. Lovely room and shower. Fridge and coffee maker. Comfy bed. No restaurant or shop nearby. Short drive to nearest facilities. Wi-fi poor.'

'No parking at all. On street only. Small 24"x24" shower. Someone's old shampoo and conditioner were still in the room. Highly advised for married couples comfortable with being ON TOP of each other. Literally one step better than a hostel. Super thin walls. Fully remote check in. Probably would not book again.'

'The Grotto was such a delightful place to stay! It was very quiet and we woke up each day to the sound of birds chirping. Jason was a fantastic host -- he was very responsive and gave clear, concise instructions. The property was easy to find and well-located. I started most days with a run along the path 2 blocks away and finished with a dip in the pool. The Grotto was also the perfect place to vacation with our dog!'
