'Location in the heart of the cove is the perfect place to experience La Jolla. Our room in the main building was more than ample and we especially appreciated that valet parking was included. Restaurant is pricey but well worth the price, Just a lovely time in a historic spot.'

'Wat mij het meest kon bekoren in deze kamer was de houten vloerbekleding. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid, naar US normen. Receptie personeel was heel vriendelijk, kon mijn bagage achterlaten, na uitcheck in afwachting van een trein aansluiting. Douchestraal mocht iets steviger. Vanaf 06.00am aankomend en vertrekkende vliegtuigen, maar dat is volgens mij eigen aan San Diego. Ik ga er in ieder geval terug. Op 15’ stappen van Old Town, van daaruit alles goed bereikbaar met Trolly, bus of trein. '

'This was an adorable little place to stay! The only bad things are 1) parking is extra if there are no open spots up front which isn’t disclosed 2) there is a $66 dollar charge they add that isn’t included on Expedia. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. They also sent a ton of texts with notifications and also the property manager texting for updates way too often it felt like they were overwhelming. '

'Communication with the host and check in/check out were very easy. You could see into the house from the doors of the guest house but they put blinds on the guest house doors in case you wanted privacy. The iron was leaky and the plugs on the power strip that was left of the bed did not work. The location was great and we could walk to food/public transportation.'

As at least one other reviewer mentioned, there was significant road noise, which was sometimes distracting. 'The property was super cute and functional for the size, perfect place to walk to Belmont park and the surrounding area with your loved one. Parking does suck but doable with a little patience. "This hotel is old and so is everything in this hotel. Rooms sure are clean but no luxery feeling at all. No vault available on the room. No bar in this hotel and no dining facility. Breakfast room is too small, people had to wait on each other. Breakfast is also very limited with no cheese or meat. Also no fresh warm croissants etc. This hotel unfortunately should not use this high price in this condition."
