'amazing hotel would go back'

'The room was smelling very badly. As if it was sprayed with some insecticides or poison. I contacted the receptionist and requested a different room. He demanded an extra 20 dollar because the room on the higher floor had a better view. It was the opposite of the reviews we had read. We are disappointed in this property. It is also far from many New York’s iconic tourist sites. That is our bad the we didn’t study the map before booking.'

'The room could use some up-keeping. For example, there were notable dirt marks on the entry way door, bathroom and walls. A wipe down and intentionality would be a noteworthy effort. There's a vending machine area in the basement - I was told that there was a worker down there to assist as well. At the time that I went down to the basement area there wasn't anyone there. I didn't reattempt to see if someone came. Having someone down there would be helpful for safety and cautionary measures. The...

'TownePlace is a solid chain. Love the amount of space and comfort these rooms have to offer. This particular hotel in Brooklyn is new (so the price it probably going to quadruple in the next month). The breakfast here was also a much welcomed part of stay. Looking forward to staying here again if the situation arises! '
