'Wife and I came for a wedding and stayed here after for a few days in Vermont. The Essex Resort was a great home base for our travel, it felt so peaceful and the staff was beyond friendly. We felt taken care of during a time we wanted rest. We ate at Lazy Goat Tavern, walked the resort, and enjoyed the hot tub in our room (not all rooms have this).'

'The family liked it. It's in a shopping area where you can buy groceries and other stuff so you can save a little money there. And the breakfast is very good for a hotel. They even have local pasture-raised yogurt, individually fried eggs and some other stuff. Nice stafff as well. No issues.'
