'The staff were wonderful, and the location can't be beat. We unwound each night with a half-pint on the beautiful terrace that is set along the riverbank. The building is a lovely old hodge-podge of levels. We were at the top of it, which involves a stairs-climb that could be hard for some. There is ample parking (very welcome!). 'Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at this beautiful hotel. We had a superior room with a terrace with views of the sea, a fantastic evening meal, steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff were very welcoming and helpful in any aspect of our stay. Will definitely return. '

'The location is magnificent, this is such a stunning part of devon, and you walk out the door basically onto the beach! The room was beautiful, with colour and texture and charm. the only slight against it was the only parking is the public carpark nextdoor so about £10 per day, but thats not much of a gripe in the scheme of things and they were super dog friendly. I'd stay again in a heartbeat. '

'We werden vriendelijk ontvangen door Paul en zijn vrouw, de uitbaters van de 500 jaar oude pub. De kamer was erg netjes. Om 18:30 ging de pub open en stroomden de plaatselijke gasten binnen en was herberg gezellig. We hebben ons avondeten in de pub besteld en de volgende ochtend werd on ontbijt klaargemaakt. Het was een leuke ervaring. '
