'We have stayed at the Petwood Hotel before, in order to join a friends party. We loved it so much that I treated us to a room overlooking the garden. It was well worth the extra money, as there was a raised area with a lovely table overlooking the gardens as well as the huge size of the room itself. The history and atmospheric quality of the hotel is superb and the local area is fabulous, especially for walks or cycling. Treat yourself to Sunday lunch if you can as a fabulous pianist called...

'Had a lovely stay, staff friendly & helpful, waitress Helena is always friendly & helpful, this is our third visit here. The only issue is there appears to be quite a lot of people who park up to take their dogs for a walk, which when we got back middle of the day we had trouble parking.'

'Best location for visiting Lincoln, on the doorstep of the Cathedral. Hotel generally good, but needs some freshing up. A pity food smells from the kitchen get up into your room. Rooms are great, quiet and a superb view over Lincoln.'

'Absolutely delightful stay. There's so much charm and history at the Allington Manor. Our hosts were so friendly and accommodating, and the daily English Breakfast was top notch! If we ever find ourselves in this part of the world again we will definitely be back!'
