'Very pleased with our hotel in Bacalar. Spacious superior room, tasty breakfast and big outdoor pool. Parking in front of the hotel in the street. Very warm welcome during check-in. Recommended!'

'A lovely, relaxing spot. What really stood out was the staff—they were exceptionally attentive and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was straightforward but satisfying, providing great fuel for active days. The lagoon setting is gorgeous, and having direct kayak access along with a handy shop right next door made the entire experience seamless'

'Amaranto Hotel is in an great location. It is close to Cenote Azul and Cenote Cocalitos, and it is not too far from Cenote Esmeralda. Cenote Azul was an easy walk for me, and I think it is one of the nicest cenotes with a good restaurant. Speaking of restaurants, the one inside Amaranto serves really good food and breakfast is free! You can also get free beach towels from the restaurant staff. The private pool and dock are close to the restaurant. The private dock is very nice. You can lounge...

'I have stayed at Poza Clara Sanctuary several times, and it is the best small hotel in Bacalar. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The included breakfast is delicious, substantial, with plenty of options. The garden and pool area is beautiful and relaxing. It is in walking distance to the lagoon and center of town. I highly recommend this charming little sanctuary, and I will certainly return.'

'It is a beautiful old building and very nicely laid out garden. The deck leads right up to the lagoon and there is a spectacular view especially in the morning over the bay. The water pressure is excellent and staff are very absolutelly lovely. The breakfast experience is good enough. It is a-la-carte (think fruits, yoghurt, omelet and so on) in combination with a coffee/juice/tea/toast/jelly/butter buffet. It makes for a nice and simple combination. The maintenance leaves to be desired. The...
