'It was an unique experience at the Zensus hotel. We had a very clean and cozy cabin in the middle of the nature. The bed was great and there was good airconditioning. Also the shower was perfect. 'Mr.David was the most gracious host. I checked in very late, last minute and he greeted me with a friendly smile and when I asked if the tiki was open he said no BUT then went behind the bar (as the owner can) and found me a cold beverage after my long day of travel. And breakfast was delivered to my room the next morning again with a friendly smile. Room was spotless and in meticulous condition. Cannot wait to go back again. Mr.David was amazing, highly recommend to anyone who loves Bacalar. '

'Vanwege het uitzicht kozen we voor een bungalow. Het uitzicht was inderdaad prachtig, maar de stoeltjes op het balkon waren zeer oncomfortabel. Aan het uiteinde van de pier stonden wel een paar ligbedden. De wifi in het huisje was ronduit slecht, voor wifi moest je naar het hoofdgebouw. Er was weinig kastruimte, alleen een rek met een paar hangers. Koelkastje en kluisje ontbraken ook. Het (overigens vriendelijke) personeel sprak nauwelijks Engels. "It is a beautiful old building and very nicely laid out garden. The deck leads right up to the lagoon and there is a spectacular view especially in the morning over the bay. The water pressure is excellent and staff are very absolutelly lovely. The breakfast experience is good enough. It is a-la-carte (think fruits, yoghurt, omelet and so on) in combination with a coffee/juice/tea/toast/jelly/butter buffet. It makes for a nice and simple combination. The maintenance leaves to be desired. The bungalows look very nice from far but the bathroom, the bedding, and the towels are in need of an upgrade. The main issue in the bathroom is moisture, which led to mold, peeling paint and a smell of moisture."
