Kastelen in Weymouth and Portland District

'Very friendly and welcoming staff on arrival. Nice Reception area, but once you get beyond the reception the corridors and our room (203) were somewhat austere. Nice breakfast, but a wider selection of fresh fruit salad would be very welcome. The red berries were still frozen but the cooked breakfast was nice, plus a good choice of teas and coffee. Fabulous views over Chesil Beach from the restaurant, but the view from our room was compromised by the double glazing having condensation...

'The location of the property was great very close to sea and town. The gentleman who checked us in was cheerful and helpful. Unfortunately didn't get much sleep one of the other residents seemed to be up all night talking loudly with others. Only booked this due to short notice ... you do get what you pay for.'

'Vriendelijk ontvangst. Ontbijt in orde, eerder wel beperkt. Badkamer proper, echter de deur sleepte , dit was lawaaierig 's nachts. Had gevraagd om 2 aparte bedden, maar was toch opgemaakt als dubbel bed.'

'So lovely here the hotel is great all staff are so lovely will defo return next time i will ask for a bath in the bathroom as i did struggle with shower as i have disabilities but it was 2 late for me to get a room like that but thats my fault not theirs. The restaurant in there is on point had a lush steak n garlic mushrooms also crumble for pudding also was lovely and the breakfast was also fab the staff work hard in there and got to say prices at the bar are the best ever and we played bingo...

'Clean and very friendly and helpful owner. Good parking onsite.'

'Helaas geen eigen parkeerplaats bij hotel, maar genoeg gelegenheid in de buurt. Erg vriendelijke gastheer en erg schoon, fantastisch ontbijt en uitzicht over het strand en zee.'

'Premium familly room worn out and dirty. No airconditioning. Fans available but full of dust. Window could not be kept open. Lift and hot water out of order.'

'We were allowed in a bit early as we came by train. The owner Sue is super friendly as were her staff We were right on the beach and could leave the sash windows open for air and to hear the sea. Breakfast was hot and excellent and it’s right next to 2 restaurants with a corner shop behind. The main Sandy beach is only 10 minutes away and the shops are only 15 minutes away Perfect'

'Perfect flat which contained everything we needed for a great stay. It is in an excellent location and parking was a great bonus to us. Communication was great with clear instructions and thoughtful little extras.'
