'This B&B was a great alternative to the Homestead resort itself. It was close enough to easily walk to the resort within a few minutes, very reasonable in cost, and the proprietors are wonderful people. 'This is a very nice B&B located conveniently to the attractions around Kerr Lake Reservoir . It is owned and operated by a couple from the Netherlands who sprinkle a little Dutch into the breakfast. The house was a pre-civil war Tobacco Plantation home. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable and Martin, our host was very attentive and helpful. I would rate it a very good value'

When we arrived, we were greeted by Angela, the innkeeper. What a wonderful woman. A great host, a great cook, and a wealth of information about Williamsburg. 'My wife and I stayed at The Boulevard Inn for a quick weekend trip and everything about it was top notch. Mitch and Roni are amazing and welcoming, and willing to help in any way. 'Thierry and Jessica were phenomenal hosts. This B&B is a perfect spot in the Shenandoah Valley. My wife and I enjoyed the amenities and the hospitality. Very easy walk to downtown Lexington which has numerous shops and dining options, plus the history of two great collegiate institutions and the legendary Stonewall Jackson. 'It's not really the owner's fault at all but the place is built on a rather treacherous bit of mountainside in the Shenandoah. The website doesn't really give much warning about this and there isn't any sort of guardrails. There is a hell of a 'pucker factor' getting to and from the location as it's just one lane. But once you get there- My GOSH! So beautiful-- so inviting.. and so, so so sooo cozy! Makes it all worthwhile!! As I said before, unless a millionaire wants to donate $$$$$$...
