« Even though we only stayed one night, we felt it was memorable. The room was spacious and clean. The room was quiet and we never heard another guest. Breakfast was very good and a lot of food. The steep stairs down to the beach were worth it because the shells were plentiful. The porch out back was a great place to have morning coffee and watch the boats. « Great location, very convenient 20 min walk to colonial Williamsburg center. Breakfast was made by Le Roy and he came in the dining area to explain what we were having and made adjustments. Snacks and self service coffee/tea available 24/7. The Gazebo area was not as per photos. We were in the John Rolfe room, nice and comfortable only disappointment was the shower which is badly in need or a re tile. I did see a review in October 2025 with photo of our shower with mould and stains so...

« Absolutely loved my stay. The Innkeeper Kyle was very helpful and brought my luggage up to my room. The room was very nicely furnished. The bed was super comfy. There is a mini fridge. There were plenty of areas to sit outside with beautiful views. The best part was the amazing breakfast the was prepared by Chef Tara. I had an exceptional experience at the Friendly City Inn!! »
