'The only thing that I can say is that the hotel was in a very shady area but there was a police officer on the premise during the night. There was a very moldy odor in the room, there were holes in the walls, there was no bath mat in the bathroom tub or anything to secure my footing (I slipped in the shower). The outside entrance to our room was locked and the area inside the room by the door was damp because water had leaked inside the room because it rained overnight. There was. no remote for...

'Really delicious breakfast, so many options and a lot of space to accommodate families. Room was really spacious and up to date, charging ports and full kitchen with appliances etc. Very comfy beds, loved our stay!'

'Booked and paid for a double room 5 weeks in advance. At check-in, after waiting for staff to check multiple rooms it was discovered there were no double rooms available. I was then told I would be given a single with a roll away cot….but after more waiting, we found out there were no cots available. The desk person finally called the manager, who said the best they could do for me was 50% off of a second room. What a deal! 50% off of a room I should not have to pay for in the first place....

'Het positive aan dit hotel is dat het aan de overkant van de straat ligt van pretpark Kings Dominion. Verder was het een wat kleine kamer. De kamer was vies en er hing een vreemde geur in het hotel. Met vies bedoel ik dat de oude contactlenzen van de vorige gast nog op de vloer lagen. Ook vonden we oude bier dopjes en zaten er vlekken op de vloer. Daarnaast waren de kamers erg gehorig en konden zowel de mensen naast ons als boven ons horen. '

'I love the TRU by Hilton chain! The hotels are fresh and looking modern and young. They’re clean and are also focused on younger people who do remote working. I always book a hotel from that chain and the one in Ashland was no exception. Breakfast is typically US, so not the best but super bad either.'
