B&B in Virginia

'Thank you for a great stay! The Abigail Inn is essentially a bed-and-breakfast. It is in a wonderful location for those who are visiting Lexington, Virginia, Washington and Lee University, or Virginia Military Institute. The included breakfast was honestly one of the best breakfasts of my life! '

'We so enjoyed staying at this inn. We didn’t know it was in a country club with access to several of the amenities of the club. The room was beautiful, the innkeeper was very accommodating and any of the staff we ran into were lovely. A short drive to the closest metro station, we spent a day in DC, & the 2nd day in the rolling hills of northern VA in wine country where we had good wines & enjoyed a lovely dinner at a recommend spot. We would stay here again. '

'A lovely place! Brigette is a sweet lady who knows how to run a wonderful B&B! Her home is spotless and so simply and beautifully decorated. The land the home is on has beautiful trees. The best part of it all was the breakfast. Regretfully, we could only stay 1 night so we only got to experience it once. It started with a slightly sweet raspberry, blueberry, and green apple fruit salad, lightly sweetened with maple syrup. It didn’t taste like syrup but made the fruit slightly sweet. ...

'Tammy and Dave were wonderful hosts - welcoming, engaging and knowledgeable about the area. The room was beautiful and the common area, with a roaring fire in the fireplace, was a wonderful place to play games and relax. The breakfast was spectacular. 'This was a perfect place for our whole family on the one night we were in Blackstone. The old house is well appointed with all we needed and except for the very creaky steps we loved everything about it. '

'Remarkable Revalutionary and Civil War history. The grounds between the Inn and the river need some tender loving care; one small wooden bridge was left out of place; maybe from the last time they mowed and invasive plants such as garlic mustard are starting to move in.'
