'Really nice property in quiet location. Food was great'

'It was a lovely room, nicely decorated and good quality presentation of the room including the tea/coffee facilities in the room, but there were 2 things that let it down. Firstly it was a very cold room, the radiators weren't on in both the bedroom and the bathroom, and the aircon unit in the bedroom, which was also a heater was not that powerful, and also there was no heating in the bathroom, and with the very large porcelain floor tiles in the bathroom, it was freezing! The other thing that...

'A very cute place to stay. Staff weee extremely helpful during our stay.'

'Room not aging well. Stained carpet. Bed linen clean. Towels clean. Shower ok.'

'Perfect place to stay. '

'A little bit difficult to get there but worth the trip. Very nice and comfortable room. Very well stocked with breakfast foods. Very close and easy access to Wales and Eye Valley.'

'Great location. Great staff. Breakfast selection good, but finishes too early for staying on holiday, so missed some breakfasts. Some issues with bathroom: towel rail/radiator not working, extraction fan not working & strong smell of drains.'

'The room was pretty decent, and large, and the beds were comfortable, but otherwise the whole place was somewhat run down and not by well maintained, with a musty smell throughout, including in the room and bathroom. The place is just OK, at best. They were no staff there, and it was difficult to communicate with them via email, or text, or Expedia, and you may or may not get a reply. Check-in instructions were not adequate and if you show up early, the place, and the adjoining pub, is closed...

'The staff were extremely helpful on arrival and during our stay. The room was big , tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. All meals were well presented. We will definitely recommend to our friends and will return.'

'Due to age of building plus isolation it had some unique qualities but the staff were all lovely and the stay was enjoyable.'

'Frühstück war nicht wie ausgeschrieben 8 Ihr verfügbar so dass wir ohne zum Flughafen mussten'

'Eén nacht in dit hotel geslapen. Het personeel is vriendelijk en het ontbijt is ook goed. Kamer en hotel in z'n algemeen vielen wel een beetje tegen qua uitstraling, maar bedden waren verder prima.'

'A lovely hotel at the heart of Wye valley. Barry and Suzy were lovely host with their greetings and service. Delicious breakfast. Clean room. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone wishing to explore Chepstow and the historic Tintern Abbey.'

'Het hotel is een prachtig oud gebouw met een schitterende tuin. Daarnaast is het gelegen in een hele mooie wijk. Dat zijn de grote pluspunten. Helaas is het onderhoud van het hotel achterstallig... Ook waren de monumentale trappen niet schoon. Jammer! Het personeel is wel heel aardig en behulpzaam, dus ons verblijf was al met al prima, zolang je je maar niet stoort aan het helaas ontbreken van netheid.'
