This air-conditioned 1 bedroom, 1 bath casita has two double beds, and a well lit bathroom with standing shower. Enjoy the jungle from your shady porch with a couch and table. This casita is conveniently close to the pool, gym, lounge and firepit areas.
The kitchen is equipped with a gas range, electric oven and the tools needed to cook fresh, full meals. Rest easy on our soft, sanitized sheets and completely protected bedding.

Hotel La Luz is a secluded and lush destination for couples and small groups. Privacy and peace are the priority here; a place for rest and revitalization. Wander the tree-lined paths, immerse yourself in the sounds of the jungle and enjoy the magic of the Mayan Riviera.

There is abundant wildlife on the property. Guests should be prepared to see all kinds of animals during their stay, from arachnids and geckos to tucans and tejons (coati). We have spotted grey fox, agouti, possums, small deer, and too many bird species to count. The largest trees on the property are home to 20 year old iguanas and families of monkeys move through the canopy searching for fresh fruit and leaves. We hope our guests appreciate the immersion into this very special ecosystem.

Gated parking for one car is included and a car is recommended. Public transportation stops at the entrance to our neighborhood. It is a 15 minute walk from the bus stop to our property.

Use your bungalow to explore the Yucatan and all its delights. Enjoy the beaches and restaurants in Akumal, only a 10 minute drive.
We are centrally located for day trips to countless cenotes, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Sian Ka'an Biosphera and Cozumel. Stop here on your way to Valladolid, Bacalar and Mahahual.


Guests will have a code to access the main gate and parking area. Each unit has a designated space. Guests are free to come and go as they wish, being mindful of locking all doors and gates.

The neighborhood is called Rancho San Martin. We are a 10 minute drive from the attractions in Akumal.
