'When we first got there, Randy immediately greeted us. When we were exploring the property we found so many cool little trinkets and art, such as a hammock, a hot tub, a small nook, free beer, and so much more. The rooms were spotless when we got there, deep cleaned and everything. The living room was gorgeous, lots of windows, fresh air, comfy furniture, beautiful open space, every morning and throughout the day we were greeted by hummingbirds, (rufous and black-tailed), if you just sit outside...

'This entire complex is very old and tired looking from the outside. Built in the 70s, it could use some TLC for the buildings and landscaping to improve the grounds. The clubhouse is small for the number of units it serves. This particular unit was comfortable on the inside except for the heat. Even at 8500 feet, it gets warm during the day in the summer. This unit has limited ventilation to let in cooler evening air. Since it is on the first floor, it doesn't make sense to keep the screen...

'I have been searching for the perfect cabin near Denver to “run away” to after a busy summer. I finally found it! Brookside will be my annual escape.
You have provided for my every knee, including extra special touches. I was especially delighted to find the house slippers and chocolate cookies.
My favorite thing is the hammock right beside the river – a dream come true!
See you next year. You are very gracious hosts.'

'Great property. I would stay there again. Only one suggestion for visitors: download the travel and accommodation details before you arrive because there is no cell coverage within 15 miles of the property. When I arrived, quite late, I had to blow up the picture of my cabin so I wouldn’t enter someone else’s by mistake. Be comforted, though. They have great wi-fi once you are checked in and have the log-in credentials.'

'Overall the cabin is very cozy and comfortable. Clean; stocked with cooking ware. We use ATT cellular, which was NOT available in the area, but bypassed it with Wi-Fi, which worked well. It’s close to the road, but there’s not much traffic so it was pretty quiet. The river seating area is beautiful but it is close behind the other cabins, so if you prefer more privacy it’s a little awkward. We didn’t meet the owners, but they are right there on the property and seemed like very wonderful...

'Overall: Good value priced place to stay.Opportunities: The 'make ready' crew needs some coaching. There were 4-5 little annoyances that could have been avoided. i.e. one of the TV remotes was missing batteries, there was a soap wrapper left in the bathtub. The guest toilet was clogged when we arrived. All of these should have been caught by the last staff before rental. On the maintenance side was the guest shower diverter would not completely go to shower or tub - it was stuck in the middle....
