Cottages in Ierland

'Samen met onze 2 kinderen van 3 en 6 jaar hebben wij een week mogen genieten van deze plek. Letterlijk alles wat je nodig heb is er. Plus nog heel veel extra dingen die ervoor zorgen dat je telkens weer blij verrast ben. De kinderen hebben genoten van het speelgoed, de honden, het eitjes halen en het melken van de koeien. Wij als volwassenen hebben genoten van het comfort, de luxe en de prachtige locatie. Deirdre en John zijn zeer attent en altijd goed bereikbaar. Dus zeker een aanrader om heen...

'Easily the worst overnight stay I have encountered anywhere in my travels. We had no working water heater the first 24 hours so none of us could shower. The floors were sticky. We killed two sizeable spiders in the unit. The whole place smelled like chemicals but I couldn’t quite place what they were. 'We loved our stay in Doolin! These lodges were a perfect home base for exploring this area. We visited the Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands, the Burren. Our lodge was so close to the Cliffs of Moher, we even went twice, because the cliffs are so beautiful, we couldn’t get enough. There are lots of pubs and places to eat nearby, and the lodge itself is equipped with everything for cooking. There’s no grocery store in Doolin, though, so get your groceries before getting to town. I would...

'Bathrooms were tiny, had no mirrors and hot water did not work in one. Remote for one tv did not work. Lighting was poor in kitchen and dining room. Pull on one drawer was broken. Exposed wires in dining room. Cushions did not fit in living room. Needed better instructions for stove.'

The parking was an huge plus and the huge hanging baskets of flowers framing the front door made for a grand entrance. 'The cottage is lovely, and modern equipped. The jacuzzi is really great. The garden is beautiful. And from there we made day trips to the Kerry way and Limerick. Nearby is a church and a pub. We have had a good stay and the housekeepers were very helpful.'
