'Great place to stay - just as advertised. While not fancy or luxurious, it is very nice, comfortable and clean and in a spectacular location. Having morning coffee on lanai overlooking the ocean cannot be beat. Probably the best stocked kitchen in rental that we have ever had. Saul is an attentive (in a very good way) host. He provides great welcoming touches, including a bottle of wine and fresh cut flowers.'

'We stayed 7 days in this unit. We were pleased with everything. I found the manager/ owner to be very helpful and accommodating. There was a book in the condo that made all the difference to us in exploring Hilo and the rest of the island. So glad I decided to take a look at it. There were more than adequate supplies available for our use. Be aware that the washer and dryer are coin operated so you will need lots of quarters. Beautiful view.'

'We loved the location of this property. Walking across the street to snorkel at Richardson was wonderful. We enjoyed the ocean breezes inside and also spent time outside on the deck with its great view of the ocean. The two cats were welcome (outside!). One night they received a treat of leftover Ono fish from the Hilo Bay Cafe. We now have cat friends for life!'

'The hotel reminded me of a Motel 6. The staff is excellent and very friendly, Had the most comfortable bed I've ever had at a hotel. Slept really well. Was a couple minutes from the airport and close to plenty of parks and places to eat. Would recommend getting a rental car so you can enjoy the whole island. Can pretty much see everywhere within a couple hours from the hotel. Really easy to get around. Would stay here again if I ever come back to the island. The only negative is all the...

'This hotel is in a great location overlooking Hilo Bay and sits adjacent to the beautiful Liliuokalani Gardens which is a must visit. Rooms are situated such that half are overlooking the bay and the other half overlook the golf course landside. The main restaurant has decent fare. The staff and service are excellent but the hotel could use some updating as rooms are showing their wear and tear.
