'Great hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful with all of our questions. The place was very clean. It was great having access to all of the facilities of the park hotel next door. Location was perfect, closer to the “old town” Funchal than most of the hotels, about a 20 min walk to the center, but great area near a lot. Overall I felt very safe, only thing to note is that there is no one at the front desk between midnight and 7am, but you will need your key card to get into the building...

'It was a lovely room with a balcony overlooking a garden. The floors were lovely wooden ones with high ceilings. Nice little kitchen well equipped and very comfortable beds. '

The food (buffets) are properly stocked and clean but lack variation: jello galore for dessert and never-changing salad bar. Outdoor pool was not heated, pool table not for free and not enough seats around the pool even during a winter stay. Did get a bottle of bubbly for my birthday so no issues with their efforts. 'Three House Hotel deserves more than five stars! Our room was an apartment rather than just a hotel room, and it was perfect. The rooftop pool, deck and bar was great with comfortable seating, a very nice casual yet elegant decor and an incredible view of Funchal and the waterfront.
